We’re so honored by @Lex_Politica’s Chambers recognition after just 4 months of existence. Beyond grateful to the best clients in the industry for the opportunity to be part of your team. I can’t imagine how this gets better, but I’m going to figure it out and make it happen.

Fun to chat all things #SCOTUS and campaign finance with @ASwoyer. Will this be the week for NRSC v FEC or Watson v RNC? Opinions expected Thursday....stay tuned! #electionlaw
Thanks to @JessFurst and @ishapiro for highlighting some of the top Supreme Court cases this term for my podcast “Court Watch.” We’re awaiting decisions in about 10 key disputes expected to come in the next 6 weeks or so.

"However, if states have relied on race to draw maps, they have a problem. Depending on the state process, they have the ability — if not a mandate — to change it."
Lex Politica Partner, @JessFurst told @axios on the recent SCOTUS decision in Louisiana v. Callais.

🚨 THE FLORIDA HOUSE JUST PASSED THE STATE’S NEW CONGRESSIONAL MAP
Thank you @Daniel_PerezFL and @jenna_persons for your leadership!
Only ONE sad Democrat protesting.
Now lunch — and onto the Senate!
Callais is here. Sec 2 of VRA (technically) lives to see another day, but, per SCOTUS, b/c the VRA did not require LA to create another majority-minority district, "no compelling interest justified the State’s use of race...map is an unconstitutional racial gerrymander." #Callais
How do you rig an election? You rig the question. Look at this ballot asking Virginians to flip a 6D-5R congressional map to 10D-1R, breaking up every region of the Commonwealth. Yet the ballot says “to restore fairness.” Rigged.
VOTE NO.
The Republican National Committee entered April with $117 million on hand.
The Democratic National Committee entered April with negative $4.4 million on hand, inclusive of debts.
Former Sen. Ben Sasse, who is facing terminal illness, opens up about how his faith in Jesus Christ is sustaining him during this difficult time:
“I believe in the Resurrection, and I believe in a restoration of this world, and so I did not feel great fear about my death.”
She's IN!
So proud of you @SydneyGruters. FL-16 will thrive under your leadership, and I can't wait to see what you do in Congress. Best yet, Spencer, Jack, and Elle will talk so proudly of the bold way their mom took action to make this country better for them.
Let's do this!
For two decades, Sydney Gruters has been someone Floridians call when they have a problem, from managing constituent services to cutting through red tape at USDA under President Trump.
Sydney is a proven conservative, ready to fight for affordability and reduce the everyday cost of living. That "get it done" mindset is exactly what we need more of in Washington, and we’re thrilled she’s exploring a bid for Congress!

I want all of them to come back

I wish Xaivian could somehow get an extra year
That loss hurt
I’ll miss this group together 💔❤️🩹
Jessica Furst Johnson's piece in @dcexaminer regarding the false Democrat narrative that the SAVE Act would prevent married women from voting.
"Suggesting that married women will be unable to vote is not only absurd, but it is an intentional effort to spread election disinformation of the very sort that Democrats routinely claim is responsible for so much dysfunction in our political process."

What a day to be a Florida Gator:
-Baseball clinches the series against Miami for the 11th time in the last 12 years
-Basketball drops 111 and beats Arkansas by 34 to clinch at least a share of the SEC title
-Women’s indoor track wins SEC Championship
The Everything School.
@ChrisCillizza Highly recommend @TheBibleRecap-the plan is chronological, the summaries helpful. Best advice I've received: don't look for yourself on the pages or treat it as a self-help guide. It IS that, but, more importantly, it's the story of a loving, gracious God. Look for HIM instead.
As seen in @politico, we are pleased to welcome Erin Hawley to Lex Politica as Chair of the Supreme Court and Appellate Practice in our Washington, D.C. Office.

Elections should be for American citizens.
The SAVE Act makes photo ID the standard to vote in federal elections and requires proof of U.S. citizenship to register. It also makes states clean up voter rolls regularly. Simple, secure, and fair.
It IS a case about the First Amendment, and permitting parties to SPEAK with limited, disclosed funds working in alignment with candidates, which is precisely the purpose parties were designed to fulfill. (2/2)
As we await SCOTUS's decision in NRSC v FEC, a clarifying note: despite the left's attempts to create a contrary narrative, this case is not about Super PACs, it's not about Elon Musk. It's not even about more money in politics. (1/2) https://t.co/U0nsGTRtPi
