You’re becoming the kind of person who can actually handle the promise when it shows up.

The promise is sweet, but the process is what shapes you.
And God cares about who you’re becoming just as much as what you’re receiving.

So I’ve been studying the promises of God lately, and let me just say this… the thing is basically a mathematical equation.
Everybody loves to shout the promise, but nobody wants to check the conditions sitting quietly in the earlier verses.

And here’s the part that really hit me while studying:
When you start doing the conditions God gives, you’re not just “qualifying” for the promise.
You’re building character.
You’re becoming disciplined.
You’re becoming righteous.

The Condition:
Joshua 1:7
“…that you may observe to do according to all the law… do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left…”

Translation:
His presence flows with obedience.
You obey Him, you follow His word, you stay aligned, and boom, that promise becomes active.

Take this one for example:

Bible Promise:
Joshua 1:9 (NKJV)
“…for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Sweet, right? Beautiful. Everybody’s fave.

But go back two verses.

@aadopat in my own opinion, It's an act of faith and obedience. It's a way of acknowledging that everything comes from God and trusting that by giving, you'll never lack anything.
