Lancet Oncology reporting on the establishment of the Children and Young People Cancer Taskforce. Hopefully in future the taskforce can also examine the psychosocial issues faced by young adults. These issues are as crucial in improving the experiences of young people with cancer

This news is a blow to cancer research in the UK and the researchers and organisations driving forward progress for people with cancer. Fragmentation also risks progress for smaller groups of cancers - like young people with cancer who are too often lost in the gaps.
