If you want to live the Ugandan dream, having a certification matters. You will probably get a decent job and live long enough to realize, like many old people I am meeting these days, it wasn’t worth it.
If you want to sit on tables where important decisions shaping people, cultures, economics, etc are made, your certification gets you as far as the door. You must build relationships that get you front row seats.
Even if you got the best job, you will need to create several sources of income to meet the needs of those whose prayers have got you where you are today … and some relatives and people who will never get your kind of opportunities.
In your 20’s learn to follow. Work under someone whose vision you admire. Learn from them how they have hustled through and shaped their vision. This will give you an idea for creating and leading others. Before we have leaders, we have followers.
Learn to take life one day at a time. Even with the most inspiring vision, things get hard sometimes. You must calm down, and move one step at a time.
Prayerfully approach each day. Commit your ways to the Lord and he will make your paths straight.
