@xan_ps There are laws in SF regarding noise during the night. If the landlord fails to act and they discover the noise exceeds a certain decibel, the tenant below could be entitled to damages and reduced rent. Even walking in an uncarpeted old house can exceed these decibels easily.

@fasemusicx @Rainmaker1973 The modern take on this is a DAP, like this Fiio M21. This one allows you to place the device in a cassette case, which auto enables Cassette mode. The touch screen can't be used when closed, but there are buttons on the case that bring back that analog feel.
