The fact that Peter denied Jesus three times and still became the rock the church was built on proves one thing: Your worst moment
doesn’t disqualify you from your calling.
Grace rewrites the story.
3 Doors Down lead singer Brad Arnold has sadly passed away at the age of 47 after a battle with kidney cancer.
"With his beloved wife Jennifer and his family by his side, [Brad] passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, in his sleep after his courageous battle with cancer," 3 Doors Down said in a statement.
"Brad's songwriting became a cultural touchstone for a generation, producing some of the most enduring hits of the 2000s, including the band's breakout hit, "Kryptonite," which he wrote in his math class when he was just 15 years old."
"His music reverberated far beyond the stage, creating moments of connection, joy, faith, and shared experiences that will live on long after the stages he performed on."
"Above all, he was a devoted husband to Jennifer, and his kindness, humor, and generosity touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Those closest to him will remember not only his talent, but his warmth, humility, faith, and deep love for his family and friends."
Back in May, Arnold released a video, revealing that he found out he had cancer.
Rest in peace, Brad.
@LauraLoomer Throwing all addicts into one category is an ignorant statement. I’m in the addict community and many are trying to get sober and become active members of society. That’s like saying since crime is higher in the black community we need to treat them all as criminals.

What an amazing sight to see.
For the Christian, the word goodbye was never meant to be permanent. We live in the tension of now and not yet, of earth and eternity. When we lose someone we love, or when life pulls us in different directions, our hearts ache because we were never designed for separation. But the gospel reminds us that death and distance don’t get the final word.
We don’t say goodbye. We say until.
Until we see them again.
Until every tear is wiped away.
Until faith becomes sight and time gives way to eternity.
Believing in until changes everything. It anchors our grief in hope and our sorrow in promise. It keeps our hearts soft and expectant, reminding us that love doesn’t end. It simply waits.
So today, if you’re standing in the space between loss and longing, lift your eyes. The story isn’t over. The reunion is already written. For the believer, until is not uncertainty. It is assurance.
"And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows." - Luke 12:7 NLT #verseoftheday
Good morning.
The reason you feel Charlie’s death so deeply is because grief doesn’t measure itself by proximity. It measures itself by meaning. You didn’t have to know him personally to feel the sting of his absence, because when a voice like his goes silent, something in the atmosphere shifts.
The reason it feels heavier than so many other tragedies is because your spirit recognizes that this is not just about a man, it is about a battle. Scripture says eternity is written on our hearts, and when someone who carried truth with boldness is suddenly gone, eternity aches within us. It’s like our souls know instinctively that the darkness celebrated, and that strikes us at the core.
The reason you can’t shake it is because psychologically, we don’t only attach ourselves to people…we attach ourselves to symbols. Charlie became a symbol of conviction in a time of compromise, courage in a time of fear. And when a symbol is struck down, it rattles something primal and eternal inside us.
That’s why even those who never met him feel it. There is a strange thread pulling at us, and it is not imagined. It is real. We are bound together by shared purpose, by shared longing for truth, by the Spirit of God Himself weaving us into a fabric that cannot be torn apart. This loss pulled at that fabric, and every one of us felt the tug.
So if you’ve wondered why this hits so hard, it’s because your soul knows. This is bigger than news. This is bigger than politics. This is about eternity, about truth, and about the weight of a man whose life carried both.
Love y’all.
X needs to be better at hiding violent images or videos! I had NO reason to see what happened yesterday and yet it popped up on my feed! Please be better at this!
@spicyliltoaster And you don’t even have to belong to a “church”! Just get on your knees, tell Christ that you give it all up and want to follow Him! You WILL be filled right then with the Holy Spirit and your name will be written in the book of life!
@spicyliltoaster Do it!!! It’s the best feeling to finally feel free from this world! It’s like you are in the world but know that you get so much more when you go to the next!
