09.08.2026 (Gupteswar Range): Acting on credible intelligence regarding the illicit transit of forest produce, patrolling team intercepted a smuggling attempt and recovered 15 pieces of Bija timber planks on-site.

12.08.2026 (Kotpad Range): During routine night patrolling led by ACF and Range Officer 10 Sal Planks, 12 Sal scantlings and one hero motor vehicle (OD 10 J 8374) seized at Kundra- Kotpad border. Efforts are underway to trace the vehicle owner and book the absconding suspects.

Our patrolling teams have successfully disrupted illegal timber smuggling networks across multiple ranges during intensive night patrolling operations:

04.08.2026 (Boipariguda Range): Seized 11 pieces of Sal planks and intercepted a motorcycle (OD 10 1411) during night patrolling at Doraguda, Mathapada section.

02.08.2026 (Gupteswar Range): Intercepted a Mahindra Maxx LX vehicle (OR 10 D 0680) transporting 40 numbers of Teak planks in the Haldikund section under the cover of darkness.

26.07.2026 (Kundra Range): Recovered 10 Bija planks along with an old motorcycle (CG 17 KH 5519) used for transit.
