I agree with you since people are utilizing cash and coins less and less these days. I also think physical payment may become more outdated as a result of coin shortages and the advantages of contactless payments. Also, during the pandemic I used Apple Pay.

One thing I predict is that smartphones will replace real wallets; instead of using cash and credit cards, individuals will use Google Pay and Apple Pay. We can see how they enabled individuals pay contactless during the Covid-19 pandemic.
