@nathanmurf lads, listening in from Udine, Italy. Season ticket holder with Udinese. Ebosele has been one of the few positives for Udinese this season. There's a healthy Irish contingent in Udine btw. Swing over for a show π
@TheRestHistory listening to your first Trafalgar episode. Surely the evolution of the British navy vs military is a result of geography more than anything else. As an island you defend your borders via the seas, in Europe as a land mass the focus is on a land based military
@maxrushden@Carra23 Agree with you boys, he's massively overrated, a YouTube player, some flashy touches but no game management. International football isn't a patch on PL/CL either so the 'he's won the WC' argument doesn't stack up either.
Despite being fairly liberal and recognising that this move is pushing boundaries I'm really ok with it. Extraordinary measures for extraordinary times and we all want to get back to living 'normally'. (I'll see family in Ireland for the first time in over 2 years this weekend)
@maxrushden I listened to your vaccination chat on the pod earlier and I agree with you. I'm in Italy which as you know got hit hard by the virus at the start in 2020 and Draghi (Italy PM) has just made the vaccination mandatory for all entering the workplace from 15/10 onwards.
@MolloyJoe I didn't see the Erikson collapse because I was out for dinner (thankfully) and I've not seen the footage since but I think people watched because they really wanted a good outcome and there is an element of how close we are to these 'extended' family members
@beINSPORTS_EN@richardajkeys lads there's a reason you're now in the backwater. You're focusing on absolute minutiae, the game is still a contact sport. Jose isn't even complaining about it
@maxrushden Final word as I'm now feeling bad, fair play to you for responding at the start, lots of others would have just ignored such a comment, so big respect on that and its still the best football pod in town to be fair.
@maxrushden I like the pod & listen always but today I'm getting a bit tired of the repetitive Barry bashing as an outlet for lack of preparation. Its not because I'm Irish, its not because of your mic issues its just getting boring and lazy. Not trolling just honest feedback
@maxrushden I like all the panellists on the show (the Maradona tribute was amazing for example). I agree that good banter along with clever analysis are the fundamentals of the show but it just is feeling very cut and paste recently. Simple, honest feedback from a regular listener.
@maxrushden Listen back to the last month's worth of podcasts, the template is either ask Barry a simple question, he gives a one word answer then you make fun of it or when its a more difficult question you just say that you don't have the answer. Get one because the above is getting old.
@NTBreakfast@ciarakellydoc Ciara I spoke to you from Italy back in March at the start of lockdown & we both agreed on the need to be safe, listening since then your change in message has been alarming. Govts are struggling but we all have a duty to help, broadcasters included
