I'm doing a charity run with work again, and refusing to train, again. This time abusing my body with a 10k. Help me make it worthwhile by helping mental health support services for young people: https://t.co/aCme0V5cU0
Our final speaker of this symposium and of #BAP2023 is @JFDyer from @CumulusNeuro
He will be talking about “EEG in the wild: Collecting high-intensity, high-quality EEG data in patient populations in the home setting”.
THREAD 🧵
@deadeels I think this does a good job setting realistic expectations as well. Going at training full time for weeks makes a slow but steady difference!
@deadeels Poor wee lad, he's maybe looking for interaction. One of the most powerful ways of dealing with bad behaviour is immediately redirecting him. Like chewing a chair onto chewing a rope toy. Rope toy is way more fun because there's interaction and he will prefer that to inanimates.
@deadeels Nearly everything they do for the first while should ideally be guided in a constant interaction with someone. Nobody can drop the ball while the nominated person is away.
@deadeels This is unsolicited and I don't know all the deets so tell me to fuck off but it does take a household to train a dog. They're chaotic entities trying to learn stable behaviours for the first time and they have to be completely led to that state. Honestly like a faster baby.
