In advance of all the discourse around New Towns, and the dread that they likely will be horrible, I wondered if there are some new towns that aren't horrible.

Here's a place called Oosterwold in the Netherlands where you can basically build whatever you want, as long as you promise to also grow some food. It's whacky, but it works.
