IMO, this is the best Gears of War game we’ve seen both technically and narratively. It brings back horror, showcases the power of the locust, balances out Marcus and makes him less of a meathead. Intros Mags and Lucas who have grounded back stories and the star of the show winds up being Dom who gets some big moments. Almost all of this has gotten lost because folks are stuck on pride flags and women being given any meaningful on screen time in a game that already had dope women in its canon.

Just finished Gears E-Day - 9.5/10

One of my favorite video game stories ever, tied with Gears 2 as my GOAT and honestly the best Xbox Exclusive since Halo: Reach

I can't even begin to describe how fucking good this story is, I've not felt this way about a game in a LONG time
