Russians were drunk of celebrating of how sour the relationship between Washington and Kyiv has become.

Fast forward to today and the situation can hardly be more different. Ukrainians forces achieved decisive blows against Russia‘s war effort deep inside Russian territory. Ukrainian drone technology is high in demand and even Trump can’t ignore that. And he acknowledges this.

Figures of the MAGA world are increasingly switching sides. The motives might be subject of discussions, but for the time being they are beneficial for Kyiv. Furthermore, it is fact that Ukraine is a natural ally of the USA, especially when seeing the situation in Iran. Ukraine was the first country to offer unconditional help despite being itself in a dire situation, while Russia aides Iran in killing US servicemen.

Putin has bungled practically everything since the start of the open war back in 2022. His war is a losing streak of epic proportions. He wanted Trump to rescue him and not even that is materializing. If Vladimir‘s strategy was to sell to his people that Trump will be his savior, then the disappointment is immeasurable.

Instead, it is Zelenskyy who tours the US, sitting next to Trump, and jumping from high-Level meeting to the next one, while Putin is hiding in his nameless bunker and sending his terrible looking doubles to the Potemkin celebrations.

Zelenskyy is not in Washington to beg, he is there to make the deals nobody can make, because he has the cards. A marvelous transition of him and Ukraine which by assessment of not few was supposed to fold in 3 days. 4 years later, however, Ukraine has never been stronger.

A focus on the Kramatorsk direction this time, with the map showing the overall picture at and north of Kostyantynivka.

The map shows Russia continuing to make gradual gains west of Siversk, although progress remains measured rather than rapid. Ukrainian forces continue to contest advances where possible, but repeated infiltrations have allowed Russian troops to establish positions beyond the main defensive line in several areas. Until these are shown back in Ukrainian hands, we have to assume grey.

Around Kramatorsk, reports of infiltration activity continue to increase. While there is little indication that the city itself is under immediate threat from a rapid advance, the pattern suggests Russian reconnaissance and small assault groups are continuing to probe deeper behind Ukrainian positions as opportunities arise.

Further south around Kostyantynivka, the situation remains one of sheer attrition. Ukrainian forces appear focused on slowing Russian advances and imposing casualties, while Russia continues to commit manpower in an attempt to sustain pressure along multiple axes.

The recent mid-range strike campaign has complicated Russian logistics and slowed the tempo of operations, making large-scale mechanised breakthroughs much more difficult. Even so, fighting along this sector remains intense, and Russia continues to make incremental gains despite the slower pace.

Long range strikes on Tyumen refinery hit deep diesel unit, and a strike on the Ekaterinburg wildberries missed.
