Yesterday was a very sad day. We took our last trip of the school year to the Morrell Preschool to read to our favorite preschoolers! We've had such a wonderful experience this year, and we appreciate the teachers and staff for welcoming us into their building and classrooms!
We been planning to show our support of Alcohol Awareness Month since October! Thanks to the Cambria County Drug Coalition, we participated in "Plant the Promise" for Red Ribbon Week by planting tulip bulbs in the fall, and now they are blooming red in front of JHS!
We are so excited to announce that our club, thanks to Vice President Taylor Mock & member Maddie Wilfong, just received word from the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies that we were awarded a grant to refurbish our Read, Return, Repeat Library Boxes!
We are excited to announce that our Annual Color Run registration is officially open! This year all of the proceeds will be given to benefit the Humane Society of Cambria County! Please check-out our flyer and EventBrite page for official registration and more details!
We are so thankful for the opportunity to speak with both Denisa & Martin from the Rotary Klub Košice! From all the way in Košice, Slovakia (yes, the country of Slovakia!), we learned about their Rotary Club & their humanitarian efforts in helping thousands of Ukrainian refugees.
On Friday, we held our first (of many) Women's History Month Speaker Series! Our fabulous list of empowered women speakers held workshops on the following topics: Leadership, Education, Entrepreneurship, Community Service, & Women's History.
We cannot wait until next year!
As part of the JHS Interact Club's continued involvement within our district's Aevidum initiative, our club members presented positive messages of support, guidance, and education surrounding issues of depression, suicide, and other concerns facing children and teens. #Aevidum

We weren't going to miss out on going to see our favorite preschoolers during Read Across America Week! This month we read "Grandma's Gardens", and we also made sure that every student received a copy to add to their home libraries.
Media: Kanye is off the meds..he’s the worst person in human existence! Look at how crazy he looks after we’ve set him up and antagonized him to get a reaction out of him!

As Black History Month comes to a close, we recognize that the teaching of Black History should never end, but we did enjoy highlighting dozens of influential and inspiring African American current and historical figures within our Interact BHM School Exhibit!
Great day at Johnstown Rotary! Interact students and advisers from JMS and @JHSInteract joined to learn about a great service organization Hosannah Industries. Service above self💯
On Thursday, we participated in #WorldReadAloud Week by reading "The Bench" to our favorite Preschoolers at the Morrell School! After our read-along, each student was also given a copy of "The Bench" to take home and add to their personal libraries.
Earlier today, some of our wonderful Interact lady officers and members took part in a Rotary International webinar entitled "Empowering Girls". We joined Rotary members from around the country in learning about how to better recognize and ensure the safety of women in society.
What an incredible few weeks of InterActs! Throughout this whole experience, we have recognized the good that individuals & organizations bring to those in our schools & community. We hope that our 12 InterActs have shown our appreciation for the efforts put forth all year long!
