Today is National Numeracy Day and Year 7 and 8 students were using real-life test cases from @LifeSkills_Ed to discuss and share where Maths is used in the real world.

This week, 12 Year 9 students visited the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford for the 'It all adds up' conference to hear from speakers on 'The mathematics of space flight', 'Mathematics and Chocolate', career workshops followed by a Q&A session and some hands on Maths.
Maths in action! Just look at the correlation between shoe size and height from all our visitors to the Maths department at Open Evening. Can you spot the outlier?
