Are you ready to stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ?
One of the most underestimated, under preached Biblical truths in the church today is the Judgment Seat of Christ.
One day every believer will stand before it and be evaluated for the lives they’ve lived as believers (2 Corinthians 5:10.)
This day is NOT to determine your entrance into heaven (that was secured the day you put your faith in Christ to save you based on his death on the cross in your place for your sin.) No, this day is to determine the degree of rewards and responsibility you will carry with you into eternity (1 Corinthians 3:11-15; Luke 19:15-17.)
Every believer will hear “Welcome home.” But not every believer will hear, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
Every believer will be equally loved but not equally rewarded.
Believer, your work matters.
Your works matter.
Your attitude matters.
Your motives matter.
Your evangelism matters.
The way you love others, (friends, family, strangers and enemies) matters!
Jesus is watching you. He is cheering you on as you walk in victory and weeping for you when you walk in darkness.
He longs to give you the maximum reward possible on that day. It will bring him great joy.
Here’s a few verses to meditate on regarding the Judgment Seat of Christ:
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10
“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.” 1 Corinthians 3:11-15
“Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” 1 Corinthians 9:25
“Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.” 1 Corinthians 4:5

Tonight is poignant reminder: all men are spiritually inclined.
Most may not talk about God, but the moment devastation comes, the human instinct within man knows to cry out to its Maker.

I don’t think we Christians realize how fragile a picture we paint of Christianity when we act as though it is so dependent on certain people and parties being in power and entire nations abiding by our beliefs.
That’s not the gospel of Jesus.
That’s codependency.
