Come along and support the division!
Check out our review paper published in Annual Review of Physical Chemistry. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive background to the field of photochemical upconversion. Well done Schmidt’s group! @schmidtim@TWSchmidtGroup @drjessalves @DMdeClercq1

Finally the certificate arrives! I am so happy to be awarded the #RACI2022 poster prize. It was quite a lot of fun to draw this poster by hand (originally just pure for fun to summarise my PhD), and now the conference gave me a good opportunity to share this fun with people.☺️
@blueb311 This is exactly how I felt before my viva! My advice is thinking about how to condense your whole PhD in a few sentences. From my experience of two viva(s), one MPhil one PhD, it’s impossible to avoid tough and unexpected even a bit aggressive questions,
@blueb311 But try your best to give your ideas, even if it’s not mature. It’s more like a discussion with your examiners, because most of the time, they don’t know the exact answer neither😂. Don’t be nervous, we all know the results will definitely be pass with minor corrections.
Don't miss our @JMaterChem C perspective by Timothy W. Schmidt (@schmidtim) et al:
Challenges, progress and prospects in solid state triplet fusion upconversion

Prof. Herschel Rabitz: “I tell my grad students, my dream is that you’ll get to the point where I tell you to do ‘X’ and you say, ‘I think we should do Y.’ That’s the goal. You’re not here to be technicians. You’re here to think.” New interview here: https://t.co/IHKNoWz4uq
