Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind National Secretary Shafi Madani says on the action being taken against mosques and madrasas in border areas, "The action is targeting only one community. If the government says there has been encroachment on grazing land, we understand that and believe it should take whatever legal action is necessary. But if both a mosque and a temple are located on the same land, how is it fair that the temple is treated as legal while the mosque is declared illegal? We visited a dargah that has received a notice. It is a very old shrine that existed even before Partition, and people from both sides used to visit it. The dargah is located in Ramgarh. We spoke to the village sarpanch, who is a Hindu, and he said the panchayat itself had developed an additional area at the shrine."

नई दिल्ली: जमाअत-ए-इस्लामी हिंद (JIH) ने देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में मस्जिदों और कमज़ोर समुदायों को निशाना बनाकर चलाए जा रहे विध्वंस अभियानों की कड़ी निंदा की है। आज नई दिल्ली में आयोजित एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस को संबोधित करते हुए JIH के राष्ट्रीय सचिव शफी मदनी ने राजस्थान, उत्तर प्रदेश और दिल्ली समेत अन्य राज्यों में हालिया प्रशासनिक कार्रवाइयों को 'राष्ट्रीय शर्म' करार देते हुए इसे तुरंत रोकने की मांग की है।
शफी मदनी ने बताया कि बाड़मेर, जैसलमेर और बीकानेर में सुरक्षा के नाम पर जिस तरह से मस्जिदों, दरगाहों और मदरसों को ��्वस्त किया गया है, उससे स्थानीय समुदायों में गहरा आक्रोश है। उन्होंने ज़ोर दिया कि क़ानूनी प्रक्रियाओं की अनदेखी कर की गई यह एकतरफा कार्रवाई भेदभावपूर्ण है। साथ ही, उन्होंने उन स्थानीय लोगों और हिंदू समुदाय के सदस्यों की सराहना की जो अपने मुस्लिम पड़ोसियों के साथ एकजुटता से खड़े हुए हैं।
प्रेस वार्ता के दौरान JIH के उपाध्यक्ष प्रो. सलीम इंजीनियर ने शासन में बढ़ते भ्रष्टाचार पर भी कड़ा रुख��� अपनाया। उन्होंने कहा कि भ्रष्टाचार अब केवल राजनीति या नौकरशाही तक सीमित नहीं, बल्कि आस्था से जुड़े संस्थानों तक भी पहुँच गया है, जो एक गहरे नैतिक संकट का संकेत है।
इसके अलावा, प्रो. सलीम इंजीनियर ने मतदाता सूचियों के चल रहे विशेष गहन पुनरीक्षण (SIR) को लेकर चुनाव आयोग से पारदर्शिता ब��तने की अपील की। उन्होंने चिंता जताई कि प्रक्रियात्मक कमियों के कारण बड़ी संख्या में पात्र मतदाता अपने मताधिकार से वंचित हो सकते हैं, जिसे रोका जाना चाहिए।
अंत में, भारतीय लोकतंत्र के सामने बढ़ती चुनौतियों का जिक्र करते हुए उन्होंने राजनीतिक दलबदल, जांच एजेंसियों के चयनात्मक उपयोग और सार्वजनिक विमर्श के गिरते स्तर पर चिंता व्यक्त की। JIH ने सभी राजनीतिक दलों और संवैधानिक संस्थाओं से देश में न्याय, तटस्थता और संवैधानिक मूल्यों को सर्वोपरि रखने का आह्वान किया है।

Delhi: On the All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s announcement of a Nationwide Movement, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Vice President Malik Motasim Khan says, "The Muslim Personal Law Board is an important institution. Even if they had not made this announcement, this work still has to be done. UCC is being implemented in the country. It has been implemented in Gujarat and Uttarakhand. Now it has been done in Assam as well. Preparations are underway in Madhya Pradesh. Mosques are being demolished across the country. Demolitions are continuing in the same way. The issue is not just one. Many people are arrested and do not get bail. There is an atmosphere of fear. A campaign has to be run on this so that people gain confidence. It is not being carried out by following the prescribed protocols or procedures. It is merely sending a message that, in cities like Delhi, there is no place for two groups of people: the poor and Muslims. This is a selective application of the law, in which certain communities are being targeted..."

Delhi: On demolition drives across the country, Nadeem Khan of the Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) says, "Look, instead of asking me why mosques and madrasas are being targeted, you should ask the administrative authorities of the city—the District Magistrate (DM) or the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM). Ask them whether only places of worship belonging to one particular religion are considered illegal. Do all places of worship belonging to other religions have proper documentation? Are places of worship of other faiths that stand in the middle of roads not considered illegal? This is not a question of legality or illegality..."

Delhi: On some MPs in West Bengal allegedly leaving the TMC and joining other political parties, Malik Motasim Khan, Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, says, "This is nothing short of a mockery. It is horse-trading, where people sell the public mandate for their own convenience and personal interests. This is a serious blot on democracy and the electoral process. There is an urgent need for electoral reforms. However, when the Election Commission itself appears to be enabling such irregularities, the country risks heading in a deeply troubling political direction. What is needed is meaningful correction, major reforms, and substantial changes to restore the integrity of the system."

In states where only the Union Government's influence is present and the state government is not run by the BJP, people receive at least some degree of protection. The biggest concern is that these so-called 'double-engine governments' are becoming increasingly emboldened in exercising their power through such actions. We hope that it will be formally signed very soon. This agreement is expected to reduce the pressure that had built up across the region. There were disruptions in gas and petroleum supplies, and because of that people were facing many difficulties. Prices of petrol, diesel and gas were increasing, and the prices of other commodities were also being affected. I believe that this agreement will have positive consequences not only for the entire region but also for India. We hope that the disruptions and difficulties that people were facing will now decrease... The world has seen Iran’s approach and the courage with which it responded. Iran demonstrated resolve in standing up to what it viewed as the wrong policies of a superpower like the United States. Those who are responsible for these actions should be brought within the ambit of international law through institutions such as the International Court of Justice, and those found responsible should be punished..."
