Tonight nothing feels as lonely as
being a Palestinian.

Every one of us not in Gaza, the remaining 10 million at home or in exile across the world, are all stuck to our phones or TVs, praying to hear some news from Gaza. Comforting our loved ones with relatives there that their family will be ok, even though we know nobody is ok.

We are yearning for but also terrified of any bit of news.

Our hearts are aching as we imagine the slaughter - a slaughter it is too easy to imagine as we’ve been watching it happen day after day for 20 days, and for most of our lives.

Our minds are racing to figure out what we can do to save our brothers and sisters.

Despite the overwhelming pain we feel, this brutality has made us more committed and mobilized than ever to free ourselves, once and for all, from the cruel never ending subjugation inflicted on us.

If anyone thinks they are breaking us, they do not understand how damn wrong they are.

This is doing the exact opposite of breaking us.

So know this:

Our freedom is inevitable.

We will make it happen in our lifetime.
