Sometimes, baseball can be cruel. The Mets just loaded the bases for Pete Alonso, who absolutely smoked a 115.9 mph rocket... into Javier Sanoja's glove.
It was the hardest-hit ball by any Met this season.
Tomorrow will be the end of an era. Lee Corso has been a cornerstone of college football for the entirety of my fandom, as he's been for many of yours.
Throughout the almost 40 years of College GameDay, he has led the way to nine Sports Emmy Awards. Corso has also received countless other individual accolades including the US Sports Academy Ronald Reagan Media Award and the National College Football Awards Association Contributions to College Football Award, recognizing exceptional contributions to college football and a lifetime of achievement and integrity.
His jokes, witty banter and iconic "Not so fast my friend!" will truly be missed. Thank you, Coach Corso, for the picks, the passion, and the headgear. College football Saturdays won't be the same without you.
