Who remembers Noelia?
She was in the Toledo perrera as the longest stayer for 5yrs & was the first one we got out as a celebration of our huge project to rescue all 80 dogs that had been left behind.
Finally after being at GDS for 6mths she got a home with the German shepherd that was spinning in circles in the kennel opposite within the perrera.
Fred and Trevor kindly took her to Valencia to be with her new family.
We are thrilled for Noelia and we’ve heard she loves the cats and is giving Cass (the shepherd) a run for his money 😂
From years in a perrera with never leaving the kennel to running around in a big garden with a new bestie 🥰
Update on our 5 rescued calves 🤍
Only Milo has fully recovered. The others are still skin and bones, fighting every day. Chaye’s ear maggots are improving, but she is still battling aspiration pneumonia. Their treatment is long, costly, and their special diet is essential for survival. We desperately need help to keep them alive.

Street life is brutal beyond imagination.
This poor soul trusted humans — and someone tightened wire around his leg, leaving him in agony for months. Street life already breaks bodies and hearts; cruelty like this steals even trust. When we finally reached him, fear made rescue painfully hard. But tonight, he is safe with us.
His treatment has begun. An update will follow tomorrow.
Street animals suffer silently — and saving them costs lives, time, medicine, and strength.
Please help us keep going.

Your support is the only reason street animals get a second chance.
Not at GDS yet but publicizing early in hope these kids don’t need to be long with us.
We don’t have all the details yet.
You can register an interest if you are interested in adopting these breeds but keep in mind we don’t have them here yet.
These belong to a volunteer that due to personal extreme sad circumstances needs to move them to a new family.
We don’t usually publicize until we have them but hopeful they won’t stay long ❤️
Another fantastic day with schools visiting the Centre 🌟
Both Rafa and Olga took the reins today and the kids had a blast. Lots of fun galgo stories to be told and 51 children leaving the Centre ready to spread the message.
Spain needs to do better by their noble breed… the galgo Español! Thank you @galgos_GIN for all your support ❤️
Well we asked for name suggestions and things got feathery.
This boy lived on the streets with his chickens and looked after them very gently.
We had no choice but to go with Rooster 🐔
He’s approx 3yrs old, healthy, castrated and ready for an evidenced home.
He’s not so good on the lead yet, has moments of freaking out and will try to chew the lead when stressed.
We have a bit of work to do but as you know it goes much quicker in the right home.
We would love to see him with other dogs and a garden not a flat so he’s not obliged on the lead too much untill he feels happier.
Please share Rooster 🐔
The other day we asked for some help for the end of hunting season and to help another local charity that’s struggling.
Thanks to you we were able to send 75 bags of food and we aim to help clear a few of their vets bills so that their vet will keep the doors open when it’s most needed at this time of year.
Many galgos now will show up. It’s important to work together and with your generosity we’ve just achieved something great.
Ana is talking in Spanish but a basic translation … she’s saying thanks to GDS and its supporters … in a very colorful way ❤️
Florence is a 3 legged Mali mix 😍
She’s made huge strides this last 6mths. She’s very low level Leish positive but we are expecting the next test to be negative altogether.
She’s got no symptoms and is doing great. She was so scared on arrival but has really come out of her shell, is doing great with other dogs and wags her tail when she sees people she trusts.
She’s had a very hard life. Can we find Florence a hone ❤️🙏🏻
Plz share ❤️
Well… here we go again.
A pregnant podenca rescued from the streets just about to give birth.
Bea trapped her in the Valencia region and asked for help. Fred and Trevor didn’t hesitate to help.
Not only did they pick her up but they dropped off another special girl to her new home very close by.
A Sweet life and a rescue all in one journey. Who? Ah we will update on that soon.
For now this little pregnant podenca needs a name theme. 🙏🏻❤️
Could she start giving birth tonight?
Siri is a shy 5yr old Galga.
She is very gentle and sweet but like so many she doesn’t trust people very much.
She will come around tho in a home with other dogs once she has decompressed.
She was handed in by a hunter recently as part of the many waiting at the end of the hunting season.
What a wonderful colour she has 💫❤️
Who agrees?
Lots of new arrivals this week.
Pregnant dogs, dogs that have not long given birth, puppies, and older ones.
These are the first eight ❤️
If you would like to sponsor a dog which helps us up keep rescuing then see the link in the comments ❤️
Could things look any more perfect for Skyla?
A wonderful home here in Spain 🇪🇸 with a lovely collie brother.
Thank you so much to Skyla’s new family for traveling such a long way to pick her up and for having all the safety measures in place.
Skyla was originally reserved for the UK and this family had sadly just missed out by a few hours. Then the UK family dropped out and this lovely couple were still waiting with much hope she would be theirs.
Never give up. What’s meant to be 😍
Thank you also to Rosa for arranging everything and helping to keep the local adopters happy 😊
Have a great life Skyla 🩷🩷🩷
Can you believe it, so far only interest in little Bubbalita.
Sud is by far the cheekiest and most adventurous 🩷
Plz give them a share, they need homes 🏠
