Lots of questions about using residual herbicides with the dry soil. This field has yet to be sprayed and lots of weeds germinating with the crop. Yield already impacted. Smaller weeds are much easier to control and get them before they harden off #ontag

Cucurbit downy mildew was confirmed in East Elgin today. This is the first case of downy mildew in Ontario this year. The risk of further infections is now high. All growers should begin using downy mildew targeted fungicides.
