The Brexit mess left by Nigel Farage and the Conservatives is costing us £90bn a year, money that could have been spent on defence and tackling the cost of living.
They wrecked it. We'll fix it.
This is terrible news for every American who doesn't want Trump-aligned billionaires to control what they watch and how much they pay.
The Paramount-Warner Bros. deal has reeked of corruption and influence-peddling.
This fight isn't over. State AGs must block this merger.
@ajcdeane I don't believe that you can't see that there's a problem with such incredible wealth and power being held by an unaccountable individual. Worrying about it has nothing to do with tall poppy syndrome or envy as any good traditional conservative would be able to tell you
The hospitality industry wants their VAT cut to 10%. It will cost £12bn
Who benefits?
❌ The smallest most vulnerable businesses? Nope. 45% get nothing.
❌ Consumers? Nope - prices won't fall.
✅ Nearly half the cash goes straight to large chains. McDonald's gets £400m.

GPS jamming has reached space, and from orbit a single source can blank an entire continent at once, far beyond any jammer on the ground.
Scientists traced short GPS outages across Europe, from Iceland to Italy, to three Russian satellites in at least 3 of 75 cases logged since 2019, NYT. 1/
It is absolutely ridiculous at this point that we are supposed to believe even 5% of Rupert Lowe's engagement is organic. A random post about @DavidLammy - 8000 likes in 53 minutes. The average View>Like ratio on this platform is around 1%... Rupert's dumb posts are averaging 14%!
Oh but he happens to be supported by the guy who owns this platform you say? 🤔
Being a carer means showing up every day, doing what needs to be done, often without anyone noticing.
That’s why I’m so glad Carers Week this year is all about building carer-friendly communities, where carers are recognised and supported.
Today I am in Britain. We will have our bilateral talks with Keir and a meeting in the E3 plus Ukraine format: President of France Emmanuel Macron, Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz, and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer. Our teams have already done substantive work to prepare all the meetings. Now it is important to discuss everything and agree on the key things at the leaders’ level.
The main focus is our defense in the war, greater cooperation for the security of all of Europe in the area of air defense, and our shared view of diplomatic prospects – Europe must be part of the negotiations and must be strong. A meeting with His Majesty King Charles III is also scheduled for tomorrow.
I thank the United Kingdom and all our partners who, through real steps, are helping us strengthen the protection of life and increase pressure on Russia for its aggression. Russia must end its war.
CURRENT FUNDING IS ONLY ENOUGH FOR HALF THE POPULATION TO GET AN NHS DENTIST - just think about that
and tooth decay which is almost entirely preventable is now the number one reason for hospital admissions among young children.
This shocking situation cannot continue
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
If you are one of nearly 14 million adults now unable to access NHS dentistry in England CONTACT YOUR MP NOW and ask them to attend the debate in the House of Commons on the shocking state of NHS Dentistry on Monday 15 June.

"Southern Water sparks fury with ‘absolutely disgusting’ sewage dumping plans."
So Southern Water's big plan to fix the sewage scandal is simply to extent their pipework and dump it further out to sea, no I'm not kidding, just as the good people of Whitstable. @SOSWhitstable

Pathetic little man. Helps fuel race riots to take the heat off the limited media probing into his crypto financing. Avoids anything but tame interviews which allow him to spout his slogans. Takes sides with a fascist South African tech bro also whipping up racial hatred against the elected PM of UK, the country he claims to love and wants to lead. Demands apologies for word slips on the BBC (which made him). Yet to apologise for the Brexit which has made British people financially worse off (not him though)
Unfortunately, the Russian side once again chooses war – everyone heard the response today. Weak response. He simply does not want to end the war.
I think many around the world were disappointed by that response. He does not want to change anything, and he does not want to admit that this war appeals only to him – and to those who are making money off him. They were all smiling very broadly today.
That means Russia must have less money, and there must be more pressure on Russia.
I thank everyone who is helping us. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine and wants a real peace.
Three ways to improve high streets by *raising* business rates:
1. Higher rates on long-empty shops, to force realistic rents
2. End exemption for charity shops.
3. Make landlords pay when candy/vape shops vanish with unpaid rates. They'll ensure rates are paid up-front.

Green Sarah Wakefield says she doesn’t want to just focus on "Westminster culture" but the “fundamental problem” of “massive inequality”
