Protestors took to Peel Ports' offices in Glasgow today, urging them to push through a deal to make Ardrossan Harbour publicly owned.

Scotland's new ferries Glen Sannox and Glen Rosa won't fit at the harbour following a lack of investment for upgrades from the owners.

As a temporary fix passengers are having to travel via Troon.

Former Inverclyde councillor Jim McEleny was there campaigning jointly on this issue and for the revival of Inchgreen Dry Dock in Greenock.

Peel Ports say the commitment they've given to sale negotiations hasn't been matched by buyers.
