@nduyamuthama Universities should be entrepreneurial. They have to find other means of raising funds, and not over reliance on fees. They can even run serious businesses, like hospitals.
@NthiaNyaga@ledamalekina 24he economy is one way towards stabilizing the economy. The transportation industry is getting affected. Shops and super markets used to close at 10pm and some would run 24/7. Now they close at 8.30 or 9pm. Isn't this hurting the economy?
@ledamalekina Night curfews should be vacated. There's no evidence supporting higher covid vulnerability at night than at daytime. We just need to observe covid protocols at all times and heighten the search for a vaccine. Curfews are not good for the ailing economy.
@MakaliMulu Revisit Kenya's political history since 2002. No party rules for more than one term. By 2022 Jubilee will be gone. So, where's the strategic engagement here? Just say this is for political positions as Jubilee cleans its house. And Wiper is holding the shorter end of the stick.
@DrAlfredMutua Covid-19 mitigation measures need to target them as well. Schools had kept them busy, now they are idle. Then economic hardships at home began to bite. Parents are spending on essentials such as food. No more pocket money. The children are turning to predators for help.
@FredMatiangi@maina_betty@DrMercyHealth KNBS Economic 2020: manufacturing growth rate dropped from 4.3% in 2018 to 3.2% in 2019. Further drop is expected in 2020 due to Covid-19. For Buy-Kenya-Build-Kenya initiative, support is needed in manufacturing. County-level industrialization and boost of cottage industries.
@BD_Africa Bailout is meant to save a collapsing entity, not the collapsed. And one time profit making entities do not just collapse. Behind the scene there must be some monkey business. And that is what we are not told. Way forward: 1.get the culprits to return what they took.2. diversify.
@citizentvkenya There must be a way out. Curfews and lock downs cannot run till the unforeseeable Covid19-free world. We have to find a way out, like 24hr-work economy where people can work in shifts. Power and internet be well distributed so that we may talk of working and learning from home.
@DrAlfredMutua Good strategy. Aim your arrow at the sun even when you are sure you will miss the target, it might land somewhere on the moon. Go Alfred go. Tell the big boys you are serious with this ambition so that they fix you some position in a pre-election agreement. It has worked before.
@DavidNdii Before colonialism, Africans themselves were not burying the dead. They were throwing bodies into the bush. Therefore, the colonialists didn't care much about decent burial to second-class African soldiers yet they didn't find it existing in Africa in the first place.
@DavidNdii We need to first find out what we have in plenty and what we can do best for the benefit of the country's economy. Many countries which have prospered economic wise used different paths..probably based on comparative advantage. I believe we should should do things that way.
