@marcscibilia My grandfather was simple, he gave more than he took
There′s no better man than Jesus, and He never wrote a book
The odds are when I go, it probably won't leave much
But honey, I loved you so, and I hope that′s enough
We’re living in a world where the worst people make the headlines. This song is about the people who live quiet, beautiful lives and are only famous to a few. No One Knows My Name is out everywhere now
“The Word became flesh and lived among us” (Jn 1:14). Since God has become one of us, every human creature is a reflection of him. This calls us to recognize the inviolable dignity of every person and to offer ourselves in mutual love for one another. #GospelOfToday (Jn 1:1-18)
Those who are close to Jesus, who become his friends through prayer, the Sacraments, and daily life, begin to feel as he feels. They begin to carry the whole world in their heart: nothing is foreign to them, and no person is indifferent to them.

When you get defensive about feedback, you fail twice. You fail to learn today, and you fail to encourage people to keep teaching you tomorrow.
If you can't handle the truth, people stop telling you the truth.
A key to growth is showing that you're coachable
-Adam Grant
God reveals himself to those who are simple and humble of heart because they are open to receiving him. Their docility gives them great insight into the faith and enables them to follow the inspirations of the Holy Spirit. We too are invited to become childlike and to live our Christian faith authentically by humbly following the Lord’s inspirations. #JubileeAudience
Is social isolation all about our smartphones? Part 1 of my conversation with @RobertDPutnam and @jean_twenge about the origins of the loneliness epidemic in America on this GPS special, Disconnected: Life in a Disruptive Digital Age.
If the biblical story is true, the kind of certainty proper to a human begin will be one which rests on the fidelity of God, not upon the competence of the human knower. It will be a kind of certainty which is inseparable from gratitude and trust.
I would like to invite each of you, dear young people, to say to the Lord: “Thank you, Jesus, for calling me. My desire is to remain one of your friends, so that, by embracing you, I may also be a companion on the journey for anyone I meet. Grant, O Lord, that those who meet me may encounter you, even through my limitations and frailties.” #JubileeOfYouth
There are times when truly loving someone will require you to speak a word of correction.
If you have not shown up by encouraging them, serving them, knowing and listening to them, you probably don't have the platform to do much correcting. -Jon Jorgenson
7. What will you regret when you’re 90? The #1 regret is not failure: it’s inaction. Not starting, not speaking up, not taking the leap. What would your 90-year old self beg you to do today?
Daniel Pink gives 7 questions to help one discover purpose.
1. What were you obsessed with as a kid?
2. When do you lose track of time? Psychologists call it flow, the state when you’re so immersed you forget yourself. It’s a clue. FLOW = INTRINSIC MOTIVATION = PURPOSE
5. Where can you make your biggest contribution? Ask: where am I needed? Then match that need with your skills. Purpose lies at the intersection of usefulness and meaning.
6. What would you do if money was not a factor? The answer is a flashlight, it shows you what matters.
Grace grows where we stop expecting perfection. Not everyone who hurts you is “toxic.” Sometimes, they’re just human. If you ghost every person who disappoints you, you’ll end up building a prison of your own design.
Yes, set boundaries. Yes, walk away from harm. But some relationships don’t need to end — they need to grow.
Don’t confuse immaturity with malice. -Dr. Henry Cloud
