As you all know, MapleStory is a game with a 20-year history. Some players started experimenting with automation tools like sub-motors for auto-hunting over a decade ago. LOL.

I jokingly replied to a tweet about hiring macro developers, and to my surprise, I received several serious proposals. This highlights the need to raise awareness about the risks involved.

The developers have been battling macros for years and have accumulated extensive data and expertise in detecting them. Using macros for personal gain harms the game’s ecosystem, and in particular, $NXPC and $NESO are directly tied to the in-game economy.

Do not use automation tools or macros for hunting in @MaplestoryU.

I fully understand the current reality of Web3 blockchain games, but fundamentally, I believe there will be demand for Web3 gaming in the future.

Not only can it provide gamers with a better playing experience, but they are already building in-game economic systems on their own.

However, the main issue at the moment is that Web3 games are only being marketed within the Web3 space.
Web3 users are primarily focused on "EARN", which ultimately leads to a Ponzi-like model.
When I play Web2 games, I spend money for my own satisfaction and enjoyment, not with the expectation of earning something in return.
But in Web3, most users are driven by financial incentives.

If "EARN" and token-related elements are treated as secondary features, Web3 gaming can thrive.
However, if they become the main objective, the game will inevitably turn into just another Ponzi scheme.
