ICC ISSUES ARREST WARRANT VS. SEN. BATO

⚠️ WARNING ALERT
Intelligence and monitoring indicate that groups affiliated with the Dutertes (DDS) are preparing to infiltrate legitimate protest actions scheduled this weekend in several parts of the country.
Their objectives are clear:
•Sow chaos from within otherwise peaceful assemblies.
•Instigate violence by provoking clashes with authorities or fellow demonstrators.
•Create a false narrative that will put the blame on police and government institutions.
These tactics are part of a broader destabilization play—using legitimate grievances as cover for political ends. By embedding operatives in protest crowds, they can turn peaceful mobilizations into flashpoints of disorder, eroding public trust and creating the appearance of state-sponsored repression.
⚠️ We remind the public and all organizers:
•Be cautious and watchful over dubious groups or individuals who suddenly join or attempt to take leadership in rallies.
•Do not be provoked by agents who may seek to escalate tensions.
•Document and verify any suspicious activity and promptly report it to authorities.
•Maintain discipline in protest actions to deny infiltrators the chance to hijack the message.
The people’s right to peaceful assembly is protected by the Constitution. Do not allow it to be weaponized by infiltrators who aim to create violence, sow confusion, and destabilize our institutions.
“I AM PREPARED TO GIVE MY SALN & WAIVE MY BANK SECRECY”
Pasig Congressman Roman Romulo plans to file charges against the Discayas for accusing him of receiving ‘kickbacks’ through DPWH personnel but admit to having never met him. “The malice in their affidavit”
Romulo says “Wala akong itinatago. They know how I live, napakasimple, I don’t even live in my own house. I hope the way I have been living is proof of many things”
Romulo ran with Mayor Vico Sotto’s party. The Discayas were their main opponent in Pasig. #ANCHeadstart @ANCALERTS@ABSCBNNews

JOINT STATEMENT
On the Supreme Court’s Ruling Halting the Impeachment Trial of Vice President Sara Duterte
July 28, 2025
We respectfully disagree with the Supreme Court’s ruling that halted the Senate’s constitutional duty to try the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.
Congress, acting in good faith and following prevailing jurisprudence, followed the law in initiating and transmitting the complaint. To retroactively apply a new definition of what it means to “initiate” an impeachment case—after the fact—can be likened to changing the rules in the middle of the game. It is unfair.
Former Supreme Court Justice Adolfo Azcuna, a respected constitutionalist and framer, called it what it is: legally defensible, perhaps, but grossly unfair.
We therefore urge the Supreme Court to reconsider and apply two principles it has long upheld:
• The Fairness Principle — that retroactive application of new legal interpretations should not harm those who relied in good faith on old ones; and
• The Doctrine of Operative Facts — that actions already taken under a prior, valid interpretation should be recognized as legally effective.
In doing so, the Court would not be undermining its power of review, but rather giving full effect to all branches of government, consistent with the doctrine established in Civil Liberties Union vs. Executive Secretary—that no constitutional provision should be read in a way that negates another. The powers of the Court, the House of Representatives, and the Senate must all be given proper and balanced effect.
We did not swear an oath only to protect positions by way of technicalities. We swore to protect the Constitution—and the right of every Filipino to demand truth and justice.
If we allow this precedent to stand, we risk silencing the very process meant to keep power in check.
We call on our fellow citizens, on every institution that still believes in accountability, and on the Supreme Court itself: harmonize the seemingly conflicting provisions of the Constitution on Judicial review and the exclusive powers of Congress.

Do you agree that this is a moral problem as well?

FILE CASES VS. PROSECUTORS BEHIND MR ON LEILA ACQUITTAL
The filing of a Motion for Reconsideration to reverse the acquittal of ML Partylist Rep. Leila de Lima—despite overwhelming evidence of her innocence—is a blatant abuse of the justice system.
Kahit binawi na ang MR, hindi ito dapat palampasin. I am urging the Department of Justice to investigate the possible administrative and criminal liabilities of the 10-member panel of prosecutors behind it.
May basehan para sa malicious prosecution, disbarment for gross ignorance of the law, at iba pang paglabag sa ethical at constitutional standards sa ilalim ng Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability (CPRA).
If any of them plan to join the judiciary, the Judicial and Bar Council must scrutinize their involvement and reject their applications if their actions cannot be justified.
I also urge the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) to investigate possible bribery behind this motion.
Seven years of detention based on lies is not just injustice—it is a weaponization of the law. Those who abuse power must be held accountable. Let’s stop the manipulation of our justice system for political ends. ✊⚖️
