Day 39 of building in public

Completed another beta booking today.

Thought everything had gone through smoothly.

Turns out one part of the booking flow silently failed.

Fixed one thing, found another.

That’s how launch prep seems to be going.

Back to work today.

Finally completed the infrastructure migration I started last week.

Already seeing a noticeable improvement in performance.

Had an unexpected discussion about company incorporation with a CA today and learned quite a bit.

Also met my cofounder in person for the first time since we started working together.

Day 32 of building in public

Moving our AI infra to self hosted AWS to fix latency

50% done. Expecting a 60% latency drop once complete

Also learned something today

I always thought AWS relationship managers were only for much bigger companies

Until I got an email from ours

Worked on a few tasks that moved from post launch to pre launch

Been using Fable 5 today to stress test the codebase before launch

Feels much more focused than the models I’ve used before

Also means hitting usage limits much faster

Worked on the product today and applied for AWS Activate credits.

30 days of posting publicly.

We’ve gone from vendor discussions to production bookings, integrations, and plenty of lessons along the way.

Finally got the webhook integration with the vendor fixed and verified today.

This had been pending for a while, so it felt good to have it out of the way.

Also spent some time fixing bugs and handling edge cases.

Spent today figuring out the current blockers to be clear this week.

Also looked back at some of the initial roadmap plans we made when we started.

A lot has changed since then.

Just making sure we’re still moving towards the same goal.

Power outage today, so not much progress.

Sharing something from book ‘The Mom Test’:

Don’t ask if people would use your product.

Ask how they solved the problem the last time it happened.

Past actions tell a better story than future intentions.

Spent most of today chasing a vendor issue that is still not resolved.

Also had a discussion with the core team to review where things stand and what comes next.
