এপস্টেইন তার একটি ব্যাংক অ্যাকাউন্টের নাম রেখেছিল Baal। Baal ছিল এক প্রাচীন দেবীর (mainly sex goddess) নাম, যাকে শাম অঞ্চলে পূজা করা হতো। বাল পূজার মধ্যে শিশু বলি অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল, যেখানে শিশুদের আগুনে পুড়িয়ে দেওয়া হতো। একজন সাক্ষী বলেছে যে এপস্টেইনের পার্টিগুলোতে বড় বড় ধণী, ক্ষমতাশালীরা শিশুদের মাংস খেত।

এটা সেই বাল (baal) যাকে ইসলামপূর্ব আরবে কুরাইশদের তাড়িয়ে মক্কা দখল করা বনু খুজাআ গোত্রের ব্যবসায়ী আমর ইবনে লুহাই আল খুজায়ী ব্যবসা কর��ে গিয়ে শাম অঞ্চলে খুঁজে পায়। সেখানে বাল দেবীর পূজায় প্রচুর ব্যবসা হতো দেখে আমর ইবনে লুহাই বালের অনুকরণে আরেকটি বড় মূর্তি মক্কায় নিয়ে আসে। সেটাকে পাহাড়ে স্থাপন করে আর নাম রাখে "হুবাল"। এরপর মক্কাতেও নানা উৎসব করে এটার পূজা হতো আর আমর প্রচুর টাকা কামাতো।

পরবর্তীতে আরবের অন্য ব্যবসায়ীরাও নতুন পূজার কালচার আনতে থাকে আর হুবালের পর লাত, মানাত, উজ্জা, ইসাফ, নাঈলা নামক আরও মূর্তি আসতে থাকে।

আল্লাহর রাসুলের (সা) পূর্বপুরুষ কুশাই ইবনে কিলাব এই বনু খুজাআ গোত্রকে তাড়িয়ে কাবার নিয়ন্ত্রণ কুরাইশদের অধীনে নিয়ে আসেন। কিন্তু বনু খুজাআর প্রতিষ্ঠা করা আইন বানানোর পার্লামেন্ট দার-আন-নদওয়া আগের মতই রেখে দেন। এবং মূর্তিপূজার কালচারও রেখে দেন।

তারমানে বৃটিশরা চলে যাওয়ার পরেও যেমন আমাদের ��ই অঞ্চলে আবার ইসলামিক আইন না এনে বৃটিশ আইনই চালু রাখে ঠিক তেমন। আর মূর্তিপুজার মতো করেই তাদের অনুকরণে আমরা শহীদ মিনার, স্মৃতি সৌধের মত মনুমেন্ট বানাই।

মূল শয়তানের পূজাটা হয় মূলত সিস্টেমে। যেখানে আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে মানুষ আইন বানায়। আর মূর্তি কিংবা সৌধ পূজা হলো এই কুফরি সিস্টেমেরই কালচার।

পরবর্তীতে আল্লাহর রাসুল (সা) নবুয়ত পেয়ে যখন এই সিস্টেম বাদ দিয়ে আল্লাহর বিধান দিয়ে শাসিত ���বার আহবান জানান, তখনই মক্কার লিডারশীপ এটার সাথে সংঘর্ষে জড়ায়।

আজকেও যারা গণতন্ত্রের পক্ষে বলে তথা কুফরের পক্ষে বলে তাদেরকে সুযোগ দেয়া হয়। কিন্তু যখনি কেউ ইসলামী শাসন তথা খিলাফতের কথা বলে — তাকে নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়।

The youth leaders of July are speaking out in unison against the brutal attack on Nurul Haque Nur. It seems like Waqar is testing our capability or, what we can do. He has included the Jatiya Party in the refined Awami League project.

I carefully read through the statements issued by the Jamaat and BNP, regarding the attack on Nur. It is heartbreaking but true that the role of the army has been deliberately ignored in the case of this incident.

I saw only the Dhaka University students and the NCP taking to the streets with immediate processions. I have a feeling this attack did not happen without Waqar's direct commands.

The crimes of the Jatiya Party and those committed by Hasanul Haque Inu are practically no different from each other. All the top leaders of the Jatiya Party must be arrested; in fact, many of them were Hasina's ministers.
