Criminals don’t operate without first observing their victims. They study routines, habits, distractions, and weaknesses before making a move.
My father used to say, “Sometimes think like a criminal, not to do wrong, but to understand how they think.” That mindset can help you spot danger before it reaches you.
Most people make the mistake of moving through life without paying attention to their surroundings.
While in transit:
Stay aware of the people around you.
Don’t stay glued to your phone. Distraction makes you an easier target.
Regularly scan your surroundings.
If you own a car:
Avoid taking the exact same route every day if possible.
Check your rear-view mirror from time to time. If the same vehicle appears to be following you for an unusually long distance, stay alert and consider driving to a busy, well-lit public place or a police station instead of going straight home.
If your car breaks down on a lonely road:
Prioritize your safety.
If you need to leave the vehicle to seek help, move to a safe location away from traffic and remain alert. If possible, call roadside assistance, a trusted contact, or the appropriate emergency service rather than accepting help from an unknown person without caution.
Finally, know your neighborhood.
You don’t need to monitor people’s private lives, but being familiar with the normal activity around your area makes it easier to notice something that doesn’t belong. Awareness is one of the simplest and most effective security tools you have.
Stay alert. Stay informed. Stay safe.
One small note: I softened the advice about neighbors to focus on being familiar with normal neighborhood activity rather than closely tracking individuals, since that communicates the safety point without encouraging intrusive behavior.
@ussyussy20@hanty_temmy@DanielRegha That would likely be you argument, but if that is the case Paul would have said men shouldn’t cover their hair. Read your Bible don’t use your pastor explanation in church, open the book and read for yourself.
@hanty_temmy@DanielRegha It’s obvious you’re the one that hasn’t read your Bible, go check what Paul in the New Testament said about women covering their hairs.
