In a shocking display of mob violence and hate-driven politics, 41 of our workers were brutally assaulted, leaving many with grievous injuries. Women workers were also subjected to molestation during the attack!

Despite the scale of the violence, the police administration failed to provide timely assistance. Our injured workers had to be shifted to SSKM Hospital with little to no support, while those entrusted with maintaining law and order stood by as mute spectators to the atrocities unleashed upon the Opposition.

Every act of violence, every injustice, and every attempt to silence democratic voices will be remembered.

Our fight grows stronger.

বারুইপুর। তৃণমূল ক্ষমতায় থাকলে আপনারা প্রতিবাদে নামতেন। বড় বড় কথা বলতেন। মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কে একশরকম আক্রমণ করতেন। সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় বিপ্লবের নামে অসভ্যতা করত��ন। বিবেকের বুলি আওড়ানো পোস্ট করতেন।
এখন তৃণমূল সরকারে নেই। আপনাদের অনেকের মত ধান্দাবাজ সুযোগসন্ধানী হাওয়ামোরগের পোস্টও নেই।

আমার কর্তব্য ছিল আজ বিধানসভার অধ্যক্ষ আয়োজিত বিধায়কদের কর্মশালায় উপস্থিত থাকা। বন্দেমাতরম, জনগণমন, প্রদীপ প্রজ্জ্বলন পর্যন্ত ছিলাম। আমি লোকসভা, বিধানসভার অধ্যক্ষ, মুখ্যমন্ত্রী, কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রীর ��েয়ারকে সম্মান করি।
কিন্তু এটা আমার সিদ্ধান্ত যে আমি কিছু ব্যক্তির বক্তব্য শুনব কি না। আমি ঠিক করলাম, শুনব না। এটা আমার সিদ্ধান্ত, বিশ্ব বাংলা কনভেনশন সেন্টার থেকে বেরিয়ে এসেছি।
কারণ, লোকসভার অধ্যক্ষ সম্মানীয়। কিন্তু তিনি তৃণমূলের দল ভাঙানোর চেষ্টার সাংসদদের বরখাস্ত করার বদলে ছাড় দিচ্ছেন। রাজ্যের অধ্যক্ষকে সম্মান করি, কিন্তু তিনি নিরপেক্ষ কাজ করছেন বলে অনুভব করছি না। আগের দিন আমাকে অন্যায়ভাবে বলতে দেওয়া হয়নি। আমি ওঁদের মুখে নীতিকথা শুনব না।
��মার যদি পরিষদীয় রাজনীতির খুঁটিনাটি শেখার থাকে, আমি প্রাক্তন স্পিকার বিমান বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের কাছ থেকে শিখছি। 1990 থেকে বিধানসভা কভার করছি রিপোর্টার হিসেবে। স্পিকার হালিমসাহেবকে দীর্ঘকাল কাছ থেকে দেখেছি। পরে পার্লামেন্ট কভার করেছি সাংবাদিক হিসেবে। রাজ্যসভার সদস্য ছিলাম। ফলে কিছু ধারণা আছে। বাকি শেখার জন্য আজ ওখানে বসে থাকার দরকার ছিল বলে মনে করিনি।

ধর্মতলায় সভার প্রস্তুতিতে মঞ্চের ফিতে মাপা নিয়ে ঐতিহাসিক মামলার জেরে হেয়ার স্ট্রিট থানায় পুলিশের জেরার পর বেরোচ্ছি। আমি থানায় আছি শুনে ছুটে গেছিলেন অশোক দেব।

The rule of law in West Bengal has been reduced to a casualty of BJP’s politics.

State agencies are picking up citizens without notice. BJP cadres are attacking AITC workers, parading them with ropes tied around their waists, hurling stones and causing fatal injuries. BJP hooligans have taken the law into their own hands and are unleashing violence across different parts of West Bengal every day.

Supreme Court guidelines and BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS are being VIOLATED in broad daylight.

Political parties are being broken. Bank accounts are being frozen. MLAs are being pressured, threatened and booked in false cases for refusing to defect. Sitting MLAs who refuse to bow down are being implicated overnight and continues to be in Jail.

If the BJP truly won Bengal on the strength of the people’s mandate, why is it so afraid?
Why this crackdown?
Why this desperate attempt to silence every voice of dissent?

This is the only state where the present Chief Minister was caught on camera allegedly taking bribe.

A party that rose to power by fanning religious hatred and exploiting faith for political gain now stands accused of misappropriating donations meant for the RAM MANDIR. Can there be a greater BETRAYAL OF THE VERY FAITH it claims to protect?

To the people of WB and India, the message is clear:

The honest and unflinching are sent to jail, while the corrupt compromise and join the BJP.

The BJP does not want your vote. It wants an opposition free state and an opposition free country, where citizens lose the right to protest, dissent, question and criticise.

Bengal has been turned into a police state. But in a democracy, people are supreme, not any political party.

India is watching and everything will be remembered.

চিকিৎসক দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে টাকী বয়েজ স্কুলের প্রাক্তনী 'টিব্যাক'-এর আয়োজনে 1 ও 2 জুলাই বয়েজ ও গার্লস দুই স্কুল মিলে স্বাস্থ্যপরীক্ষা শিবির। আজ বৃহস্পতিবার গেছিলাম। বাল্যবন্ধু ডাঃ অমরনাথ চক্র���র্তীকে সম্বর্ধনা হল। বিধায়ক হিসেবে প্রথমবার স্কুলে ঢুকলাম, সেজন্য স্মারক ও উপহার। ভালো লাগল। 'উইন্ডোজ' সংস্থার নতুন ছবির অডিশন চলছে বাচ্চাদের মধ্যে। জিনিয়ার সঙ্গে দেখা এবং আড্ডা হল।

Over the past couple of weeks, STF/CID @WBPolice has without proper notice and in violation of basic legal safeguards, abruptly summoned or randomly picked up nearly 25 people connected to my office or associated with me all in the name of interrogation.

They are being intimidated, threatened and pressured to give false statements against me. Phones are being tapped and even family members including women are being harassed and threatened.

This is political intimidation at its worst. A government whose own Chief Minister was caught on camera allegedly taking bribes, with multiple CBI cases hanging over him, is now using state agencies to target me.

Do what you can. I will not bow down till my last breath.
