Some people may not know who this creature is that appears on Noctis's shoulder and we always see it in the game...

Okay, let me tell you about the relationship of this creature called (carbuncle) to Noctis..

Unlike the other messengers, (Carbuncle) is the only one who was commissioned to be Noctis's spiritual guardian and guide

When Noctis was a child, he was attacked by a monster called (Marilith), which nearly killed him. As a result, Noctis fell into a deep coma that threatened his life. Out of fear for him, his father, King Regis, placed a figurine of this creature on Noctis's pillow.
This object was not merely a toy or anything of the sort; it was a magical artifact connected to the gods, helping him confront his nightmares during his coma. Thanks to this object, (Carbuncle) was able to enter Noctis's dreams.

In the Platinum Demo, where Noctis dreamt, (carbuncle) protected Noctis's soul from nightmares and monsters trying to devour it, guiding and helping him until he peacefully awoke from his coma. From then on, (carbuncle) became Noctis's permanent spiritual guardian.

(Carbuncle) doesn't speak human language; he communicates with Noctis via his mobile phone, sending text messages to guide and direct him. In reality, Noctis is the only person who can see him, and he has never told anyone about him.

As Noctis grows older, (Carbuncle) continues to watch over him throughout his journey. Even if he encounters difficulty in combat, (Carbuncle) intervenes to heal Noctis and bring him back into the fight.
