Here's the reason:

1. France won World cup in 2018, but Mbappe wasn't their best player.
Griezmann was their best player. He scored in Round of 16, quarter-final and had goal contributions in semi-final and the final. Mbappe wasn't even in top 3.

2. Messi has been the best player in the world cup twice, and Mbappe has never.

3. Mbappe was the top goal scorer in 2022, but Messi won the best player.

4. Argentina and France met in 2022 final and Argentina beat them..

5. Messi is currently the highest goal scorer in the world cup, and he's topping the assist too.

Messi should be called Mr World cup not Mbappe.
