@JohnFea1 It seems so obvious that many american christians mix republicanism with their christian view to the point where its almost indistinguishable. Yet it should be "how can I best love my neighbor?". "My rights" comes from a place of self interest. That is not the faith.

Yes I eye-rolled when the president used scripture in his address. It wasn't due to a low regard for scripture, but because of a very high value I put on it to be used properly in context and not just to check the block.

Perhaps we have exchanged Christianity in this country for a quasi religion of Capitalism or in other places Communism. We look at these systems humanistically to save us. This has been seen by christians about communism, yet upon further thought, capitalism is idolized too.

@martyduren Interestingly we all seem worried about Christian nationalism, but per a book I just read we have accepted Capitalism as a sort of humanism to save us all religiously. This was from a book I hate called Homo Dues, but it had some very interesting points.

@story_cosmos Oh man. While I've done zoom edits, I just accept my losses on quality. The amount of time to fix (sort of mask?) such shenanigans is not worth it. During COVID theres at least been a much higher tolerance from audiences on audio quality over zoom like interviews,
