@joreiumi i find myself thinking the same if i ever sit down and force myself to work on music, feeling like im loosing the connection between working on a project and having fun doing it.
@SoleVisionArts might be looking at this wrong but wouldn't it be up to the customer to use the commission they purchased as they want? sometimes you are almost happy with it but don't wanna bother the artist with another revision.
@Naskomusic Yet it's been that way for years hasn't it? I swear I've not used Soundcloud for half a decade for streaming music because of its really-bad quality
@Naskomusic Soundcloud is such a shit site it's s crazy, one would think they would at least guarantee audio quality to not be degraded in favor of cheaper streaming costs. Youtube does it right, and several others too
@Naskomusic oh yeah I relate to that a lot. Almost all the time when its dubstep drops being degraded by the compression its got to do something with the sub and how it wrenches the compressing algorithm into doing something dumb
@Naskomusic have you tried to upload the file and then find a way to download it again and look at the waveform after its been compressed? could be a start
@Naskomusic taming that god forsaken compression Soundcloud uses is like shooting in the dark, sometimes it just feels like it doesn't like a mix, even worse if its stuff with high perceived loudness. could be something specific about the transients that the algorithm just lynches
