After 25 years of effort, I am proud to announce that the Canadian Museum of Nature has collected a living sample of "The Xenotext" (storing this organism in its "biobank," as part of the mandate to collect DNA from every biota in every biome in Canada):
Watch the opening of STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE which, despite the cynicisms I’ve accumulated thus far in life, rarely fails to bring a tear to my eye. Here’s hoping we’re still headed for the stars: https://t.co/LVVJ77QYTX
This Man entered Amsterdam airport In 2016 and technically never stopped working till now. The man is a recording. Dutch designer Maarten Baas filmed a performer for 12 full hours behind a translucent screen, erasing and repainting the minute hand with a roller every minute.
We are screening INTERFACE in NYC, July 29th at Paradise Factory Lower Manhattan with a director Q&A (me). Also included, a screening of Gnome by Ben Cresswell and the SAFE MODE EPISODE 9 PREMIERE!
While working on THE XENOTEXT in the early years, I thought that, for sure, someone else would accomplish such a task before me—but after more than two decades of work, no one ever raced me to the finish. Chase the hardest pursuit that you can—and thereby avoid all competition.
