@revolutsupport Hello. This afternoon, I used my phone to tap and pay for something. It went through on my account but was rejected on the vendors machine. The vendor is prepared to wait to see if you credit them later. Is this a problem with your system?
@henrywinter I’m an Irishman. Rice deserted us but I find it hard to blame him. I’m also a Liverpool fan. He’s the one player in the Prem I’d love to see playing for us. If Mini Pep wasn’t such a tool, I’d be happy to tip my hat at them this season. But No!
Check out this satellite map of Dublin from 1966! Yep that's right,
on 19 February 1966, a KH-7 GAMBIT reconnaissance satellite operated by the CIA passed over Dublin. This magic window on our city just before things went international. You can zoom in to surprising detail. Go fullscreen then use the transparency slider at the bottom right so you can compare now with 66'!
KH-7s primary purpose was Cold War espionage against Soviet and Chinese nuclear and missile installations. This slice of swinging Dublin was used to calibrate. Mad what I find lying around the Dublin Time Machines magic drawers. The photo below is just a screenshot, you've to click the link

@dohville@realLangerDan Imagine you’ve just bought the new tractor and a couple of months later, your business plan which enables you to pay for it gets torn up. I have huge sympathy for any person whose livlyhood is screwed by one man’s narcissism. Desperate times make for desperate measures.
@cathalcoleman11 I often wonder why some are irritated by military rank. Captain (retired) Tom Clonan, even while a serving member of the DF’s, was never afraid to call it as it is. You might not like to hear what he has to say but you should certainly listen to him.
Charlatans. It will take days for excise duty reduction to kick in. Price rises were immediate, even when oil was already paid for and in stock. Utter profiteering.
The UK is studying and will implement how the Danes control immigration, which was a major plank of Brexit. Last time I looked, Denmark was in the EU. You couldn’t make that up! 🤡🤡🤡
I think that if you’re going to write a piece in the Times urging the government to use and boost more AI, the fact that you are paid by a major AI company should be in the first sentence, or at least first paragraph.
I also think that the best scenario for AI is that it destroys millions of jobs with the prosperity, dignity and community that goes with them.
The worst scenario is the destruction of the human race - a fear openly expressed by an increasing number of senior and experienced AI engineers who are leaving the industry.
And somewhere in between a myriad of horrors such as yet more screen learning and screen addiction for our children.
But I do see that it will make rich men even richer. And that’s the most important thing of course.
