For the sake of information. Till date up to 25000 Kashmiris have been detained under PSA since it was “invented” as a law in 1978 by Sheikh Sahib.

MLAs were routinely detained under the PSA. My father was detained multiple times under the PSA as a sitting MLA. So were many other MLAs.

J&K People’s Conference President Sajad Gani Lone today announced the formation of a new political alliance named the ‘People’s Alliance for Change.’

The alliance brings together the Justice and Development Front (JDF), formed by former members of the banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), People’s Democratic Front (PDF) led by Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, and several others.

This coalition aims to provide a unified platform to address justice, development and governance in Jammu and Kashmir.
