"...We have learned that there is a city of God, and its Founder has inspired us with a love which makes us covet its citizenship. The citizens of the earthly city prefer their own gods to this Founder of the holy city, not knowing that He is the God of gods..." —Augustine
@ostrachan "Let The Nations Be Glad". I randomly received it as a thank-you from a mission agency, and I was HIGHLY offended by it... until I realized it was mostly just Bible verses (and comment) about the preeminence of God. It wasn't long before I'd embraced this glorious truth with joy.
"...For [our earthly fathers] disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but [God] disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness." (Hebrews 12:9-10).
Men, be like God. Lovingly discipline your children.
"Let your work be shown to your servants,
and your glorious power to their children.
Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands!" (Moses, Psalm 90:16-17)
"Then they said, 'Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves...'" (Genesis 11:4).
Not our purpose! "Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!" (Ps. 34:3)
This is a travesty. Freedom is always on the line. The state must always be reminded by its citizens of their God-given liberty to raise children. https://t.co/24EQ9aZEV8
"Clump of cells" is a statement of dogma, not a term of biology. The simplest way for someone to signal that they're anatomically ignorant (and unthinkingly religious) is to apply the phrase "clump of cells" to a human. (It's also a clear sign that they're easily manipulated).

@BasedMikeLee Is this a sincere question? Christ is a monotheist. Christians are monotheists. Any Mormon with a basic understanding of LDS doctrine (and a commitment to honesty) will acknowledge that Mormons do not believe in one God.
@RobinBroadway4@BasedMikeLee No, this is intentional. And rightly so. Christians are definitionally monotheistic; Mormons do not believe in one God, but rather many. It's just a matter of basic honesty.
@BasedMikeLee Historically, biblically, and in every other way, Christians are definitionally monotheistic. Mormons are not. Just be honest and admit LDS is a different religion, then argue for it on its own merits. (Or do Mormons have something against honesty?)
The LDS Church (Mormons) is not a Christian religion. Christians are definitionally monotheists. Can any Mormon honestly say "There is but one only, the living and true God"?
@CadenJCooper@Pastor_Gabe It's clear you're not interested in engaging in what the Bible actually says, but rather in inserting some personal bias into the Bible (and distorting my position). I'm out; have fun discoursing! 😉
@CadenJCooper@Pastor_Gabe No, I'm not. I never said a sermon has to "look" like what a modern Westerner thinks of (pulpit, stage, mic, podium). You've inserted that idea. I'm just saying a 1-way discourse declaring Scripture to Jesus's church is one biblically normative means of spiritually maturing them.
