Chosen the Isotta Fraschini – Duqueine drivers for the 2024 FIA WEC
Green Line. The choice to focus on two very young but promising drivers will be the novelty of the 2024 FIA WEC, where highly experienced drivers are the majority. Carl Wattana Bennet, a 19-year-old Thai-American who is part of A14 Management (Fernando Alonso's driver academy), is currently racing in LMP2 in the Asian Le Mans Series with Team Duqueine, the same team that will bring the Isotta Fraschini on track. While Antonio Serravalle, a 21-year-old Italian-Canadian managed by Remstar Management, has already participated as a driver in LMP3, Indy Lights, F3 Americas Championship and Indy Pro 2000 Championship.

Experience. Jean-Karl Vernay, a 36-year-old French driver winner in many different categories, will be the mother hen to his two very young companions, thanks also to his big knowledge of the car, having helped develop it during last season. In his career, Vernay has won the French Formula Campus, the Indy Lights, the Porsche Carrera Cup, the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Porsche LMGTE Am, the TCR International Series, the WTCR Trophy, and finished second in the FIA F3 World Cup in Macao.

September is here and with it, new track activities are incoming to continue developing our Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH Competizione hypercar. To warm up again and be ready for the new test, let's revoke with Jean-Karl Vernay where we left off with the test in Monza at the beginning of August:

«Monza has been a very satisfying test. We were finally able to compare ourselves to the rest of the field since we were testing on the same circuit where WEC raced just one month before and it was very positive with lap times and the reactions of the car with qualifying tires, but also during longer stints».

«Basically, we can be pleased about the car and the performance, even if it is complicated to make comparisons since we were not in the same exact moment when all the other cars were in action, with the same temperature and grip. Still, at least we have a good idea of where we are and it is very positive».

«Unfortunately, we got that engine issue that ended the test prematurely, but now we had a few weeks off for everybody to recharge and come back stronger in September to finalize everything and get ready for next year!»

After taking the track at Monza in front of the FIA WEC audience with two cars, Isotta Fraschini continues developing.
Wednesday, July 26th, and Thursday 27th the Tipo 6 LMH Competizione was back in action on the same track where the car made its first outing at the beginning of April, the Vallelunga racetrack near Rome, with Jean-Karl Vernay and Marco Bonanomi at the wheel.
