Ukrainian Warriors used a new tactic during Operation Vivaldi, striking Russian troops with unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) equipped with Bullspike grenade launchers.

The UGVs attacked Russian positions and then detonated directly inside their shelters.

According to the 3rd Army Corps, Russians believed an entire assault group was attacking them. In reality, the robots were remotely controlled by operators from a safe position dozens of kilometers from the line of contact.

Next year, Russia plans to spend $12 billion on the production of jet-powered drones and loitering munitions alone. Of course, this is not only about Ukraine.

Ukraine’s interception rate for jet-powered “shaheds” is now 55%. In September, the Russians launched more than 2,730 jet-powered “shaheds”, and more than 1,500 were shot down or suppressed. Unfortunately, a significant share still reach their targets. But step by step, we in Ukraine will build up our defenses – to a level no lower than what we already have against regular “shaheds,” more than 90 percent of which get downed.

But this directly concerns our partners as well. Many intelligence services have information that the Russians want to expand their war, their activities, to more countries. Perhaps to other regions. That is why we need to defend ourselves together, preventively. And that is exactly why we are talking with our partners about stronger sanctions.

People in the temporarily occupied town of Oleshky are starving. There is almost nothing left to eat. Reports indicate that the civilian population is being forced to survive on grass and weeds, while access to medicine, clean water, electricity, and medical care is becoming increasingly scarce. Children, too, are facing these conditions, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said regarding the situation in Oleshky.

“This suffering has a clear cause and a clear perpetrator. Russia caused this catastrophe in Oleshky through its illegal occupation and bears full responsibility for this humanitarian disaster, all its consequences, and the deaths of innocent civilians.

The international community must mobilize all available tools to reach the people in Oleshky, deliver humanitarian aid, and ensure the safe evacuation of those who wish to leave. The UN, the ICRC, and other international actors must use their mandates and channels to secure immediate and unimpeded humanitarian access.

I thank Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Michael O’Flaherty for drawing international attention to the situation in Oleshky. Now, that attention must be backed by action. People there cannot survive on expressions of concern alone. Humanitarian access and safe evacuation must become a reality, because every day counts,” Sybiha wrote on X.

In occupied Oleshky, Ukrainians are beginning to eat their dogs; according to the city's military administration, the Russians have not allowed food into the city since May.

The Russians intend to starve 6,000 people to death.

"A few days ago, I heard for the first time that there are indeed cases where some families are eating dogs. Just a week ago, I denied such reports, but now someone from there has confirmed it to me. There is literally nothing to eat. The situation is deteriorating not just day by day, but hour by hour.

And there is no prospect of rescue. People face two paths: either they starve to death, or they are killed by a drone or artillery fire. There is no third option. The likelihood of surviving there without food is zero," explained Tetiana Hasanenko, head of the Oleshky military administration, as reported by *Ukrayinska Pravda*.

According to the head of the military administration, there is no disparity where some families in the city have food while others do not; everyone is starving.

The last food delivery to Oleshky took place on May 26. Every subsequent attempt has been unsuccessful.

We are responding to Russia’s brutal strikes against life. Last night, thanks to our long-range sanctions, two oil refineries were hit – in Perm and Novoshakhtinsk. There were also hits on the Iskra Plant defense enterprise in Ulyanovsk, and the occupiers now have two fewer radar stations in the Rostov region. The world must know about this Russian barbarism. In occupied Oleshky, around 6,000 Ukrainians remain trapped, cut off from food, water, electricity and gas. Children are suffering from malnutrition, while residents have resorted to eating garden weeds to survive.

Russia’s blockade and the mined roads make evacuation extremely dangerous. And Russian occupation authorities reportedly don’t even allow Ukrainians to bury those killed by drones, landmines or other violence.
