You keep hiding behind the fact that the charge was amended, but let’s be clear: an amended charge doesn’t mean the case disappeared or that you walked away without a finding of guilt. The court record shows an adjudication of guilt on the amended disorderly conduct charge.

And Florida Statute 877.03 specifically includes “brawling or fighting.” What the fuck do you think those words mean? They describe conduct that goes beyond simply having a disagreement or exchanging words.

Now, the statute lists multiple forms of disorderly conduct, so the amended charge alone doesn’t prove which specific conduct was the basis of your case. But claiming that “it’s an offense against the state” somehow means no individual could have been involved is a ridiculous deflection. Who prosecutes the offense doesn’t erase the possibility of a person being affected by what happened.

You weren’t adjudicated guilty of the original battery chargebut the record does show you were adjudicated guilty of the amended offense. Stop acting like an amended charge means the entire situation magically never happened.
