Wrapping up a year as the co-VP of programming for @INSPRABoard with @Jlynn__05 with an amazing panel devoted to crisis communications today. Brought Flat @NSPRA to help us promote #NSPRA2023 to all our Illinois #K12Pr friends. #Road2NSPRA
A6 - I do my best to create boundaries and practice self care (i.e. taking a yoga class). I also make a point to reconnect with students by visiting schools as often as I can to remind me of my 'why'! #INSPRAChat
A5 - We a great network of INSPRA professionals and I also meet regularly with my fellow feeder districts' PR pros. We always make time to share ideas and ask each other questions. I also follow tons of districts on social media to 'borrow' ideas! #INSPRACHAT
A4 - In #SchoolPR I feel like every day is different! I typically try to tackle emails in the morning and then work the rest of my day around any events I have in the schools. Prioritizing is key! #INSPRAChat
A3 - I usually find the most inspiration when I get together with my INSPRA colleagues. It's difficult to get inspired being a one person shop, so being able to bounce ideas off of my peers is always helpful! #INSPRAChat
A2 - I try to get into the schools as often as I can. I look for new stories to tell and try to reconnect with my 'why' during the slow season. #INSPRAChat
A1 - I usually experience a lull right around this time, once everyone has settled into the new year but before the busy holiday season begins. #INSPRAChat
A1: So many ways to evaluate what is ethical, but to make it simple:
- Is it ok if this decision is public?
- Does it hurt others?
- Would I want to be the other party, would I feel it was fair still?
- I don't have to rationalize my actions to myself
