The brilliant mind of Rabbi J. B. Soloveitchik ๐
Rabbi Leibel Schapiro of Miami (as a bochur) once asked Rabbi J. B. Soloveitchik why many communities do not eat in the sukkah on Shemini Atzeres when the Gemara in Sukka says that the halacha is that we sit without a bracha.
He responded that the Gemara in Shabbos says that we make brochos on the mitzvos of the second day of Yom Tov even though it was enacted based on a doubt ืืื ืืืืืืืื ืื (as not to disrespect it).
By Sukkah there is no bracha and sure enough we are mezalzel!
Reminder that the first victim of 9/11 was Danny Lewin, a dual American-Israeli citizen and former IDF commando who was murdered trying to stop the hijackers on Flight 11.
If flossing had been around in the time of Chazal, there would definitely be a specific order you're supposed to floss your teeth in according to halacha.
