@meggmegg41@PyroFoxx_ @WBoy0101 @0_Joanna_0@MiniLaddd Exactly. There are lots of laws I don't agree with. It doesn't mean I can use that as an excuse to break them or cry about it when I get in trouble for breaking them.
@GabrielHemme @nocturnalnanny @KiserKristos@MiniLaddd Proof that the doxxed individual is still having to deal with this and the kind of info being found and shared by mini's fans.
@GabrielHemme @nocturnalnanny @KiserKristos@MiniLaddd I have proof for all of these actually. The parts blurred with red, I edited because unlike mini, I feel it's morally and ethically wrong to dox somebody.
@nocturnalnanny @GabrielHemme @EmGorse@KiserKristos@MiniLaddd Yeah. We'd make more progress explaining this to a brick wall. I give up. They are clearly never going to acknowledge that mini screwed up royally and broke actual laws. If they want to waste their energy crying over somebody who doesn't know or care about them then let them.
@nocturnalnanny @GabrielHemme @KiserKristos@MiniLaddd And a decent human being who immediately told her fan base harassing the authors was unacceptable... instead of waiting until the author's family had already been threatened (3 days after the initial incident)
@nocturnalnanny @GabrielHemme @KiserKristos@MiniLaddd Mini was worse because he spent months avoiding the authors and then doxxed one when they finally got his attention.
@GabrielHemme @nocturnalnanny @KiserKristos@MiniLaddd Those people DO need permission. Loads of youtubers contact the authors beforehand. Others, like miniladdd, get DMCA strikes when the author finds out. Just because other people don't follow the law, doesn't make it ok.
@GabrielHemme @nocturnalnanny @KiserKristos@MiniLaddd Not meaning to break a law doesn't change the fact that he still broke copywrite laws by not asking for permission. He did steal those stores, didn't properly credit the original authors, and then he made money off the work of others.
@GabrielHemme @nocturnalnanny @KiserKristos@MiniLaddd Also, just because somebody else broke the law and got away with it, doesn't make it suddenly right. Just because some guy robbed a bank and didn't get caught, doesn't mean you can try it and then whine when you get caught.
@WBoy0101 @0_Joanna_0@MiniLaddd Not true actually. Thanks to DMCA laws, all works published in any digital medium (blog, website, reddit, etc.) are automatically copyrighted. So, all the NoSleep stories are protected by copywrite laws (as mentioned in the reddit terms of service).
