@PennMaxxing Yep, my family had three generations of Harvard men (doctors, lawyers, friends of President Hayes, Boston Bay Bay mansions, Manhattan Golden Age) - then one son decided after Harvard to move West to farm lemons. His grandson lives in addiction and poverty on $600/mon.

@wakenminds Most were not “found” in that sense. Their existence was well known by locals and villagers all around them… but they weren’t “found” until the professionalization of archeology and museums developed. Same way Christopher Columbus “found” America.

In fact, it’s usually her dependence (pregnancy, birth, post-partum) that triggers his demons. Stop blaming women for men’s misbehavior. Did he consider leaving her if he hated her so much? No.
