I wish I had more reach to share this message:
Challenges + Commitment + Gratitude = A life of alignment.
What is a life of alignment?
Living your life every day aligned with your authentic self; the version of you stripped of ego and identification with status prestige and possessions.
Why gratitude?
Gratitude is not just a feel good exercise. It’s a self discovery tool to reveal what you value most, anchored in truth and verifiable facts.
Upstream from this is inner peace - that’s what creates the conditions for people to experience happiness more often.
In order to find inner peace one needs to find alignment. What does that mean?
Living your life aligned with the authentic you; the version of you stripped of ego and identification with status prestige and possessions.
I don’t know your journey, but I know your journey.
We all go through difficult life experiences, and while the wrapper may be different, the internal feelings and arc are the same. The feeling of doubt, insecurity, loss, chaos, disorientation, questioning, feeling like you’re alone - I know those feelings. Most people do.
I learned to say “I don’t know your journey, but I know your journey” because it holds space for your unique experience while also creating human connection.

@Markmanson “Transformation is painful. In order to transform into the person who can achieve the goals you set for yourself, parts of you must die. The problem is you don’t know which parts, and if you did, you might never have the courage to begin. So, you just go.”

Why is it ok for influencers to assume what someone might be thinking? Each individual “telling” isn’t a problem in and of itself. It’s the summation of a culture of people telling people what to do that’s the problem.
This very same statement could 10x its reach if it were phrased as a question, “is it a self confidence problem or a self control problem” - that leaves it to the individual to decide without diluting the intention.
King David spent roughly 10 years on the run in the wilderness. He came back a King.
St John the Baptist spent nearly 20 years in the wilderness.
The Prophet Elijah spent 3-5 years.
Moses spent 40 years before leading Israel.
All the great ones go through their season in the wilderness.
@ZubyMusic I don’t think anyone has ever asked for a really bad one 😂
I used David Haviland for my book. He’s excellent with structure and flow but has a more commercial style of writing so preserve your voice.
