Dear President William Ruto, Kenyans led by its Gen Z are asking: DO YOUR HEAR THEM?

The Country has been & is waiting for you to lead the Nation to show EMPATHY, REMORSE & GRIEF for those killed, the hundreds injured & abducted. Instead, you are talking about buildings burnt. How can you compare lives & buildings? The buildings belong to Judiciary & Parliament, independent of the executive & they aren’t complaining.

And are you saying the Police are right in going rogue? You have refused to condemn the killings, shootings & abductions of Kenyans. All these are extrajudicial actions by the Police.

The Country is saying they want tectonic shift in the way politics is conducted. They want Corruption, Tribalism, Public Theft & Hubris by leaders to end. Instead you state regrets that the Finance Bill was rejected.

Kenyans want the Soul of the Nation to be saved. They are saying its leaders engage in open theft & display of wealth & opulence when the people are suffering. You talk of employment, houses & imports which don’t benefit them but the ruling class only.

What you want & what Kenyans want are different. When Winston Churchill led the World in defeating Adolf Hitler, he thought that is what the people wanted. He lost the elections miserable. European leaders think its people support Ukraine in its war against Russia. Europeans instead want insular national borders. Leaders of UK, France, Germany et al who led support for Ukraine are all going to lose their offices this month to Parties that don’t care about Ukraine.

When Jesus saw the worshippers were awestruck by the splendor of the Temple of Solomon & not their souls, He predicted the destruction of the temple which appended. Jesus said p, what does it benefit to gain the who,ex world & lose your soul?

Kenyans have been asking that you save the soul of the Nation, not its buildings or employment or exports. The Deputy President, PS, Foreign Affairs & your Chief Economic Advisor say they have heard them & support their grievances. Mr. President, when will you them & lead the Nation in healing, reconciliation & salvation of its soul?
