@Boweman55 I feel bad for Klay because he came here for a ring leaving his Warriors’ legacy behind and was abruptly betrayed by the previous front office without having the chance to see that roster compete at full heath. This ending was predictable, but necessary. Wishing him the best.
@CBAMavs If he proves to be healthy this season, that’s a reasonable number for both sides. But he has to play an important role this year to be worth that. He isn’t there yet to be honest.
@MavsStan41 Curious to see in which position does Dusty May proyects Zaccharie Risacher. I know this Mavs roster has a million forwards, but this is all about positionless basketball at it’s peak with a very smart coach calling the shots and it might be really fun to watch.
@TheMavsBlog He would be really good next to Cooper, but I don’t see the Mavs pursuing him (and maybe giving up some of their limited draft assets) after picking Morez Johnson.
@DL2Muse His shooting touch is nice. He definitely has a place in the league. If the Mavs move on from Klay, I’m giving Poulakidas all of those minutes off the bench.
@MavsFilmRoom Both Gafford and PJ are elite role players. We saw how they raised our ceiling in 2024. If there isn’t a solid offer on the table, I would roll with this roster into the season and see what Dusty can do with it. He seems to be a coach that actually cares about the regular season.
@TheMavsBlog Would the Clippers accept a Gafford sign and trade for Mathurin? Not saying I’m doing that because Lively’s injury concerns are still up in the air and that’s why Gafford remains important on this roster, but at least there should be mutual interest from both sides.
@KikeGarcia41 Al ya no haber un agente libre que valga la pena con los 15M que aún tiene disponible Dallas, que otro jugador con contrato no tan bueno pero a cambio de unas rondas ves que podamos absorber con la Full MLE?
@Glenjr1988 If there’s something that the Morez Johnson pick and the Santi Aldama trade taught us is that this new management moves in unexpected ways. With the front court logjam, I sense that they might try to move two players to get one back, possibly a guard. But no one knows for sure.
@SJBasketbal8 Feels like the Mavs have too many forwards right now that they should do a 2x1 package deal. Naji Marshall and Caleb Martin for Shaedon Sharpe is my dream if they pick up the phone with Portland.
@All_Things_Mavs Brings something this team lacked that was a shooting big. Good touch and feel for the game. Despite not being in our wishlist, he’s a welcomed addition but also another front court player. Would hate to trade PJ, so let’s see how the Mavs round up this offseason.
@Glenjr1988 Lakers are still a top 6 team in the West. Kessler costed way too much and their future is cooked, but for the next couple of years they will be in the contenders conversations as long as Luka is in his prime. They need to fill that PF role, but these additions today were solid.
@TheMavsBlog Sounds like the Brandon Williams replacement. Not the best guard to target in my opinion, but can have a solid role off the bench. I wonder if the Mavs can be the third team in a potential Jalen Duren to Sacramento trade.
